HOW SMOKING CAN CAUSE HEART ATTACK AND DAMAGE YOUR SYSTEM

According to my research  cigarette smoking can cause about 20% of the entire population of people who smoke causes death. It can nearly harm every organ in the body including heart, blood vessels, lungs, eyes, mouth, reproductive organs, bones, bladder, and digestive organs.

Smoking can damage your heart, the function of blood vessels, the structure of your heart and your blood cells. And such damage can raise the risk of Atherosclerosis. It is a desease in which a waxy substance called plaq builds up in the arteries. Over the time, plaq hardens and narrows your arteries and when this happens, this limits the flow of oxygen-rich blood to your organs and other parts of the body.

Light smoking or occasional smoking can both damage your heart.

Secondhand smoke can also affect the organs, heart and other parts of the body. Secondhand smoke is the one that was breathed out from the smoking person and happens to be breathed in by a person who does not smoke. Smoking has the same effect with these two person who smoke and who does not.

HOW DOES SMOKING INCREASES HEART ATTACK RISK?

The nicotine present in the smoke causes heart desease by:
  • Decreasing oxygen to the heart
  • Increasing blood pressure and heart rate
  • Increasing blood clotting
  • Damaging to cells that lines coronary arteries and other blood vessels
